Reassign Activities

Reassign selected activities en masse from one user to another user in the same database.

ACT! for Windows activities are each assigned to an individual user – the user the activity is “scheduled for”.  You can change the user an activity is “scheduled for” by selecting an activity in any of the various ACT! views, and then using the “Reschedule Activity” facility.

There are times, however, when more than one activity may need to be reassigned.  For example, if a sales rep or account manager (user) leaves the company or is promoted, or when sales territories are re-aligned, ALL the activities for each contact need to be re-assigned to the new user responsible for that contact.

If all the contacts in a specific city, or area code, or zipcode, are to be reassigned to a different user, then all the activities associated with those contacts need to be reassigned also.

Reassign Activities provides a means to quickly and easily perform this reassignment of activities.

To install Reassign Activitiesin free "trial" mode:
  1. Download the installation file
    (Install_ReassignActivities.exe),
    and remember where you saved it.
  2. Shut down all running programs.
  3. Run the installation file from where you saved it in step 1.
  4. Note: All products install into the c:\program files\tnhg folder.
The New Hampton Group has developed a number of ACT! add-on utilities and products that enhance ACT!'s capabilities. These products are available for free download as "trial" software - after installation, they will run in "crippled" mode (only a limited number of records per execution) or only for a limited amount of time (30 days after installation) or for a limited number of uses (30 or 50 executions).

Any product can be "registered" by clicking the "Register Now" button in the upper left corner of the application window. Click the "Print Reg Form" button to display a registration form. Copy the User Code 1 and User Code 2 values onto the Registration form and provide the requested payment information.
