Enhanced F2

Easily modify multiple selections from a “F2 PickList” in an ACT! for Windows database.

With ACT! for Windows, if you define a field with a Dropdown list, then you can use the F2 key to open the window that allows you to edit the list.  While in the Edit List window, you can also use the Windows-standard Control-Click and Shift-Click key-mouse combinations to select multiple entries from the list to be entered into the field, automatically separated by commas.

However, if you re-enter the field and again use the F2 key to open the Edit List window, the previously selected values are NOT highlighted – you will need to re-select ALL desired values for the field.  This is very error prone and tedious for the user.

Enhanced F2 provides a replacement for the Edit List window.  In the Enhanced F2 window, the previously selected entries are already highlighted, so you can deselect items or select additional items.  Values already in the field but not on the PickList are also displayed, so you can add them to the PickList with a single mouse click.

To install Enhanced F2 in free "trial" mode:
  1. Download the installation file
    (Install_EnhancedF2.exe),
    and remember where you saved it.
  2. Shut down all running programs.
  3. Run the installation file from where you saved it in step 1.
  4. Note: All products install into the c:\program files\tnhg folder.
The New Hampton Group has developed a number of ACT! add-on utilities and products that enhance ACT!'s capabilities. These products are available for free download as "trial" software - after installation, they will run in "crippled" mode (only a limited number of records per execution) or only for a limited amount of time (30 days after installation) or for a limited number of uses (30 or 50 executions).

Any product can be "registered" by clicking the "Register Now" button in the upper left corner of the application window. Click the "Print Reg Form" button to display a registration form. Copy the User Code 1 and User Code 2 values onto the Registration form and provide the requested payment information.
